Product Description

The French Country Tapered Leg Bench is a solid-wood alternative to chairs for seating at your dining or kitchen table. This bench can be used for additional seating at a table where room is an issue. The bench is designed to run the entire length of standard table sizes. If you need the room, we can custom make the bench to be able to fit between each leg and slid under the table, out of the way.

The 15" seat depth provides plenty of comfort for your guests. The 18" height is the standard height similar to a chair. With modern sensibilities, the bench provides seating with any of our dining or kitchen tables. The bench is also versatile enough to use in a mudroom, hallway, bathroom, or in a bedroom.

The bench features 3-inch hardwood legs. The four legs are wide at the top and taper down to a smaller width foot. The Taper Leg Nench is available in standard lengths of 60-inches (4ft.), 72-inches (5ft.), 84-inches (6ft.), and 96-inches (7ft.), but can be customized to any length of your choice.

This bench is standardly painted in a classic two-tone French country finish. But, can be finished in one all-over stain or paint finish, your choice

This French country bench complements French Country, English Cottage, Farmhouse, Rustic, Transitional and Traditional style decors.

Colors

All of the finishes that we offer on our furniture are uniquely French Country. We offer traditional milk paint finishes and low VOC stains that are healthy for you and the environment.

All finishes are hand applied, then lightly rubbed, for time worn character. Our "Aged Finish" stains are achieved with multiple coats of stain followed by the application of a glaze. Our finishers lightly surface distress tops for a time worn appearance. All finishes are water sealed and waxed for easy care, everyday use.

Wood Top Styles

We offer (4) styles of tops on all of our furniture:

  • Stained Pine
  • Hand Planed
  • Vintage Pine
  • Birch

"Stained Pine" is our standard solid wood top featured on all furniture pieces.

See Stained Pine furniture example

"Hand Planed" is a solid Pine top which has a planed down surface to open the grain of the wood to allow a deeper stain color. This technique provides an uneven, grooved surface for a more rustic look.

See Hand Planed furniture example

"Vintage Pine" is made from reclaimed wood from old hunting cabins, buildings, and cottages. No two tops are alike, some are more rustic than others, they can be very distressed by their weather worn age. You should expect that some have divots and worming.

See Vintage Pine furniture example

"Birch" is a hardwood top that has less wood grain and no knots when compared to Pine. Birch is a popular choice for customers looking for a harder top for children or heavy wear.

See Birch furniture example

Our Aged Finish tops are also available, these colors are:

  • Caramel
  • Sequoia
  • Tuscan Sunset

Aged Finish tops are achieved with a stain, glaze and surface distressing. You choose the table top that fits your style of table.
